22 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!!
RECOVERY FEST 2019! – October 4th, 5th and 6th!
Join us on this weekend in October as we unite with other alcoholics and addicts to celebrate 22 years of going to “Any Length” for recovery from alcoholism & addiction. We welcome all Alumni, AA/NA Members, and family members of residents to enjoy this remarkable weekend in recovery.
Friday Schedule of Events
Chili Cook-Off and AA Speaker
Join us at 6pm as residents, alumni, and AA/NA friends are invited to join us in our annual “Chili Coof-Off.” At 8pm AA Speaker and ALR Alumni Audra M. from Charleston, SC will share her experience, strength and hope. At around 9pm we will finish off the evening with fellowship and fun.

A Pig Pickin’ and a dynamic AA Speaker!
Join us at 12pm for an afternoon of fun as we enjoy a good ole’ fashioned “pig pickin.
At 2:00pm Myers R. from Dallas, TX will share his experience, strength and hope at a speaker meeting.
At 4:00pm the games begin with karaoke, skits and more!
At 7:00pm we will ask family members to depart as residents and alumni are invited to take part in a wonderful tradition of karaoke!
Sunday Schedule of Events
16th Annual Philip Rowland Memorial Golf Tournament
Residents, alumni, and AA/NA friends are invited to play in this “Captain’s Choice” golf outing at Lakewood Country Club (NEW LOCATION!). Join us for a 10am tee-time and lunch immediately after at the Grill.
Each year, ALR offers the opportunity to “sponsor” a golf hole at the golf tournament. The cost is $100 and includes an attractive sign with your name or company’s logo on a green or tee-box. All proceeds go towards the cost of the weekend’s events. If you or someone you know is interested in “sponsoring” a hole, please download the sponsorship form below.
November:
THANKSGIVING
All residents, family, and alumni are invited to give thanks for recovery, enjoy a bounty of Turkey and all the trimmings provided by the Any Length residents and staff.
December:
Christmas Eve – An outrageously fun “Chinese Christmas Eve” gift exchange for residents and alumni.
Christmas Day – A glorious Holiday Celebration for residents and family with fellowship and fabulous food. Families and friends of residents are welcome to join us for a Christmas Celebration from 1pm – 6pm on Christmas day. Residents and staff will be providing food, fun, and karaoke!
April:
Easter
ALR welcomes families and friends for a comfortable and casual day in the warm spring sun as we celebrate life! Food and fellowship from 1pm – 6pm. Residents will enjoy karaoke and other activities after 6pm
May:
“The Spring Thing!”
We welcome friends and Alumni to join us on the weekend in May as we unite with other alcoholics and addicts to celebrate another spring in recovery from alcoholism & addiction. We welcome all Alumni and friends to enjoy this day.

Founders’ Day
Each year several of our staff members and alumni make the 500+ mile trek to Akron, OH; the birthplace of AA and the 12-step program. This date coincides with the founding of the AA Fellowship and is on the “bucket list” of many sober men and women.
